The easiest way to create a new course is to log into your institution’s catalog site, navigate to Shortcuts in the black toolbar, then click Add Course.

Alternatively, you can navigate to Manage → Content → Add Content → Course. This will take you to the same page.

(Note: Some institutions use the word “Course” and others use “Class” instead.)

Most institutions utilize the following course fields:

Your institution’s site may have more or fewer fields than these. If you need to add fields to your Create Course page, contact [email protected]. We are happy to provide customization to fit your institution’s needs.

After you have entered all relevant course information, be sure to click Save at the bottom of the page.

The course can be viewed on your institution’s Courses page found in the main navigation, or by navigating to Manage → Content and then filtering for courses or typing the title into the search bar.
