When linking to other websites, it is often desirable to link text instead of pasting the full link in the text field.

Linking Text to a Website

  1. Paste or type the text you wish to link

  2. Select the word(s) that will become the link

    It is a best practice to link text that describes the website you are linking to. For accessibility purposes, we don’t recommend saying “click here” as that phrase is not descriptive of what you are linking to.

  3. Click on the Link button (represented by the chain link icon)

  4. Paste the URL into the Link URL field and press the green checkmark to save the link.

  5. The selected text will now be linked.

Removing a Link

If you wish to remove the link, click on the link in the editor and then press the Unlink button, represented by the chain with a small ‘x’ icon.
