To create a new degree, you can either click Shortcuts → Add Degree, or you can go to Manage → Content → Add Content → Degree. Both of these pathways will take you to the Create Degree page.

You will need to add a title to the new degree in the first field.

In the next field, you can add the appropriate program term, which should pop up when you begin to type it in. It’s important to enter a program term into each degree so that the degree is listed on the appropriate program page, which also will include a program description and associated courses.

Then, you can select the degree type. If the degree type you need isn’t yet listed, click Manage degree type options, click Add term, type the name, then hit Save. Note that you may need to refresh your Create Degree page before the new degree type will display.

If the degree has any overview information, put this in the Body text box.

Click Add Degree Section to start organizing and entering courses. At the top of this section, you can add a Degree Section Title, which may be something like “Fall Semester” or “Humanities Courses.”

Add any associated text to the Degree Section Description, if necessary.

Start entering course codes in the Degree Section Courses field, and click on them when they pop up underneath to link them. You can click Add another item or Add Five in order to add as many courses as you need to the degree section.

You can add as many degree sections as you need, as well.

If you need to create an elective group, such as in the case of multiple courses fulfilling the same requirement, visit this page to learn how.

When you are finished building out the degree, hit Save at the bottom.
