There are two ways that you can create links to other pages on your catalog.
On the page you’re working on, highlight the text you wish to add the hyperlink to, then click the Link button in the toolbar.

It is a best practice to link text that describes the page you are linking to. For accessibility purposes, we don’t recommend saying “click here” as that phrase is not descriptive of what you are linking to.

In the link modal that appears, start typing in the name of the page that you wish to link to in the Link URL field. Select the desired page from the options that appear and click Insert to save the link.

If the desired page does not appear, follow the steps below for manually copying and pasting in the page path.
Open the page you want to link to in a separate tab. Highlight and copy the path—the portion of the URL that follows the top-level domain (e.g. .edu or .com)—including the slash.

When a path is used as a link, it can be referred to as a relative link. Learn more about why relative links are important.

On the page you’re working on, highlight the text you wish to add the hyperlink to, then click the Link button in the toolbar.

In the Link popup, paste the relative URL in the Link URL field and press the Enter key on your keyboard or click the green Insert button.

You’ll know the relative link was added successfully when you see the text is underlined and a different color than the main text. Clicking on the hyperlink will display the relative URL.

If you want a hyperlink to direct to a file, such as a PDF of a form, you’ll need to upload the file to the Clean Catalog site then link it on the desired page. Here are the steps for doing so:
Wherever the file is saved on your computer, ensure the file name has no spaces in it. You can delete the spaces or replace them with hyphens or underscores.

While spaces in filenames are technically supported, we don’t recommend them as they can unexpectedly break.

On the page you’re working on, highlight the text you wish to add the hyperlink to, then click the Link button in the toolbar. In the link modal, click on the magnifying glass icon to open the file browser.

Select Upload in the File Browser toolbar, then Add file.

Find the file on your computer and upload it.
Double click on the newly uploaded file to insert it into the Link URL field and press Enter on your keyboard to save the link.
