Clean Catalog offers three syllabus levels in a standard syllabi buildout: *global, course,* and instructor. This guide provides an overview of course syllabi.

The content in course syllabi comprises information relevant to each course, which is usually set by the department chair. In other words, the information pertaining to all sections of the same course – regardless of semester offered, day/time scheduled, or the instructor – can be found in the course syllabus.

The following are the fields that are included in our standard setup for course syllabi:

Please note, however, that we can add to and customize these fields to meet your institution’s needs.

To create a new course syllabus, you can follow this navigation: Manage → Content → Add Content → Course Syllabus.

On this page, you can add the necessary information to each field. Be sure to hit Save at the bottom before navigating away from the page.

To edit an existing course syllabus, you can follow this navigation: Manage → Content → Change “Type” to “Course Syllabus” → Filter → Find desired course syllabus → Edit (under Operations column).

Here, you can make any necessary changes to the content, then be sure to hit Save.

Please note that access to the course syllabi is restricted. You can reach out to your site administrator to request a change in access if you do not have the ability to make edits to course syllabi.
