Clean Catalog offers three syllabus levels in a standard syllabi buildout: *global, course,* and instructor. This guide provides an overview of instructor syllabi.

Most commonly, an instructor syllabus is created for each section of a course. There can be multiple instructor syllabi for one semester of a course. Instructor syllabi include information that is unique to that specific section and to the instructor teaching that section.

The following are the fields that are included in our standard setup for instructor syllabi:

Please note, however, that we can add to and customize these fields to meet your institution’s needs.

To create a new instructor syllabus, you can follow this navigation: Manage → Content → Add Content → Instructor Syllabus.

On this page, you can add the necessary information to each field. Be sure to hit Save at the bottom before navigating away from the page.

To edit an existing instructor syllabus, you can follow this navigation: Manage → Content → Change “Type” to “Instructor Syllabus” → Filter → Find desired course syllabus → Edit (under Operations column).

Here, you can make any necessary changes to the content, then be sure to hit Save.

Please note that access to create and edit instructor syllabi is restricted. You can reach out to your site administrator to request a change in access if you don’t have the right permissions.
